Parallel Beta aims to realize people first, distributed, communication and data management / sharing systems, that are modular, mutually integrable and resistant to censorship and surveillance — researching deeply into people’s needs, desires and problems, into existing technology, delving into their feasibility and practicality, before collating, creating and collaboratively shaping them as we help people and communities integrate them. It is a spotlight into the existing fractures in the information ecosystem today and a critical imagination and one of the many paths towards an alternative, hopeful future one.
